Campus
Our Four Communities
Our 4 campuses – Kendal at Longwood, Crosslands, Coniston and Cartmel, are located near West Chester and Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. We invite you to live in an oasis in the heart of the Brandywine Valley countryside, while enjoying all the benefits of the cultural and metropolitan life in Philadelphia, and Wilmington DE, just outside your door. Our campus of 500 acres includes acres of rolling hills, wooded trails, green meadows, vegetable and flower gardens, inviting patios, paved pathways, and tranquil water features. Relax your summer days by the outdoor pool, putting green, or luscious gardens. Enjoy a game of Pickleball or Tennis, pack a picnic lunch by the pond, take a hike on our hiking trails, stroll our Accredited Arboretum in the grandeur of fall colors, and let’s not forget our ‘fur residents’ with wagging tails abound in the dog park.

Natural Beauty
Nearly 300 years after William Penn was granted lands that became Pennsylvania, Kendal~Crosslands Communities still maintains Penn’s original focus on sustaining the natural environment. Residents on all four campuses take great care in maintaining and improving the grounds and are very active stewards of the natural resources.
National Wildlife Federation Habitat
The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) designated our campus as a Certified Wildlife Habitat site, with outdoor spaces that improve habitats for birds, butterflies, frogs, and other wildlife by providing essential elements needed by all wildlife — natural food sources, clean water, cover and places to raise young.
