Directions to Kendal at Longwood

Address for GPS: 1109 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA • 610-388-7001.

Located on the north side of Route 1, one-quarter mile east of Route 52 North.

The following directions are suggested routes. Please note, GPS directions may vary.

Φ From Harrisburg, PA, take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East (I-76) to Exit 312, then take Route 100 South to Route 202 South to Route 1 South. Take Route 1 South for approximately 6 miles, through Chadds Ford and past the Chadds Ford Animal Hospital (on the right). The next traffic light will be the entrance to Kendal (on the right).

Φ From Northwest Philadelphia, PA, take I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) to I-476 South to Route 1 South (Exit 5). Pass the intersection with Route 202 and continue on Route 1 South for approximately 6 more miles, through Chadds Ford and past the Chadds Ford Animal Hospital (on the right). The next traffic light will be the entrance to Kendal (on the right).

Φ From Southwest Philadelphia, East Philadelphia, PA and Airport, take I-95 South to Route 322 West (Exit 3A) to Route 1 South. Pass the intersection with Route 202 and continue on Route 1 South for approximately 6 more miles, through Chadds Ford and past the Chadds Ford Animal Hospital (on the right). The next traffic light will be the entrance to Kendal (on the right).

Φ From Wilmington, DE, take Route 52 North into Pennsylvania then Route 1 North. Go about ¼ mile to the first traffic light and turn left, into the entrance to Kendal.

Φ From Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC, take I-95 North to Wilmington, DE. Take Exit 7 onto Route 52 North and Delaware Avenue, veer left onto Pennsylvania Avenue North and Route 52. Stay on Route 52 North for 11 miles; turn right onto Route 1 North. Go about ¼ mile to the first traffic light and turn left into the entrance to Kendal.

Φ From New York City, take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 6, toward I-276/PA Turnpike. Merge onto New Jersey Turnpike Exit, which becomes I-276 W/Pennsylvania Turnpike. Take the Turnpike to I-476 South toward Philadelphia/Chester. Take exit 5 off I-476 and merge onto Route 1 South toward Lima. Follow Route 1 South (approx 16 miles) to the entrance to Kendal on the right at the traffic light.

Φ From New Jersey, take Route I-295 South to Route 322 West across the Commodore Barry Bridge into Pennsylvania, then stay on Route 322 West (which becomes I-95 South for a short distance but then branches off to the right as 322 West) to Route 1 South. Pass the intersection with Route 202 and continue on Route 1 South for approximately 6 more miles, through Chadds Ford and past the Chadds Ford Animal Hospital (on the right). The next traffic light will be the entrance to Kendal (on the right).

Once on the Kendal at Longwood grounds, take the immediate left fork and follow road to the main entrance and visitors parking lot 6.

Directions to Crosslands

Located on the south side of Route 926, one-half mile east of Route 52.

Φ From Harrisburg, PA, take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East (I-76) to Exit 312, then take Route 100 South to Route 202 South to Route 926 West. Follow Route 926 for approximately 6 miles. Crosslands entrance is on the left (before Route 52).
