Rehabilitation
Kendal~Crosslands Communities offers a full range of rehabilitation services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. The departments are located on our Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands campuses. We employ a team of experienced professionals in our rehabilitation centers dedicated to the health and wellness of those we serve. We provide services to all residents in all stages of living (independent living, personal care, or skilled nursing) and individuals from the larger community who come to our Health Centers for a short stay. Rehabilitation at Kendal~Crosslands
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapists specialize in the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and mobility. They provide comprehensive assessments and develop individualized programming to help residents achieve long term functional benefits.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists specialize in maximizing residents’ ability to safely perform their activities of daily living. They perform home assessments, provide education and training on low vision, joint protection, energy conservation skills and provide certified LSVT BIG assessment and treatment. Occupational Therapists may provide recommendations for improved safety, and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment as needed.
Speech Therapy
Speech-Language Pathologists specialize in the improvement of one’s cognition, speech articulation, and social communication and the treatment of swallowing dysfunction. Speech Therapists are LSVT LOUD certified for the care of resident’s with neurological impairments.

CARF Accreditation and Skilled Nursing
Kendal~Crosslands maintains CARF accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Staff are committed to improving the quality of our services and meeting internationally-recognized standards at our retirement rehabilitation centers. We also offer long-term and short-term skilled nursing for residents.
